Memorial day weekend was full of mixed emotions as well as mixed weather

Saturday great weather, took kids to New Balance and cubbies. I think they enjoy it.

Sunday was a wash out

Monday, springwood barbecue all good but I did get tired. Plus I ate too much. Lots of deja Vu

Tuesday went to foot Dr

Think everything is finalized with listing

Stafford Rd house looks huge plus I think it will show well. 

Went to chef table for dinner with loop, Joey and Rajiv to plan India trip. Had shrimp, Lamb chop, lamb stew plus other stuff. Actually it was very good.

Just had last PT session on Friday I go to out patient PT at rwjohnson rahway for evaluation. Jessie says he thinks I did very well. 

I'm going to post and go out for coffee.

Hip

Went to Dr Closkey yesterday, he was happy with my progress. He suggested that I work with PT getting in and out of the car. He said healing was right on point. 

Went to MGCC last night ( Wednesday). Lisajoy dropped me off and Poli brought me home. Just nice to be out with the guys

Sears at house cleaning carpets. Charging more than I expected but got to get it done. 

Am driving about, with no particular place to go. Just nice to be free. Called rwjohnson rahway set up evaluation for out patient PT next Friday. Have one more session with Jessie next week. 

I am so pleased with the frontal replacement, rehab is about 50% of the posterior. 

Can't believe how big the Stafford Rd house is. We had so much stuff that the house seemed cramped.

Good luck on your retirement Sharon Smithers over 45 yrs I believe at MGCC. She has been a mainstay at MGCC and was a great help to me when I was on the MGCC board 

Everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend. 

The weather for the weekend looks promising.

With schools closing in the next month more and more kids on bikes will be on the road. Drive defensively and safely 

Shame about the Metuchen Cup being a causality of the weather, Mother Nature is a very tough lady

Estate sale

Hip rehab going as well as I could have hoped. I think in another week I may be able to drive. 

Adelina growing up so fast. She is an absolutely beautiful young lady, still very sensitive but getting stronger. 

Wednesday night went to Stafford Rd house, just amazing amount of stuff that a family accumulates over the years. No doubt about it Rae was a Horder, nothing ever left. 

Fratterolo clan came over, Bella came, geneen, Lisajoy and me. It was sad but I feel a new chapter is starting. Saying goodbye is just hard

Day one of sale seemed to go well. Only bumps in the road were. Joanne wanted a certain piece of llardro which we could not retrieve. Plus Bella somehow got the cigarette holder out of the house. 

Went to Comcast to return boxes. Made a technical error telling them that we are shutting off the service. Lost 7325740459 but worked to get it back and transported it to Rahway house. 

PT is going well. Jesse seems to feel by next week Dr closkey will release me to out patient PT.  He also feels that by  next week I will be allowed to drive. Visiting nurse and I had a  missed communication. Have yet to see the home aide. OT person will be back Friday, to make sure I have the correct shower chair. Taking sponge bath is getting old. 

Thinking I need to stay up later, been waking up at 230 and just watch TV. No internet at 3 am, it gets turned off till 6am as a control. 

Friday very busy day

Tank removal, PT, nurses aid, OT and visiting nurse. Either everything or nothing. Had a shower which felt great. Just eating too much because I am here. No other reason, I am here and so is the food. Need to drink more seltzer. Jesse thinks I need three bottles a day. 

Gary picked up lunch for me from d'talia. I told him just let Chris pick for me. Cheese steak California style plus well done fries. Outstanding

Each of the rehab people are impressed by my BP. I guess because of my size they expect it to be high. 

Craig Kapoff called, I was on the phone a good half hour.

The kids have all been super supportive.

May 7 hip replacement surgery all good. Frontal so much easier than posterior. Moving along had PT for two days in community.  So far so good. 

Had Lisajoy stop by Rae's Terrace on the way to Rahway house. Lady walking around cemetery. We asked if she needed help. Answer no thank you just playing Pokemon go.  People are crazy.

Not sure how we navigated the steps but we did. Friday morning first big test. PT at home. Jesse arrives seems nice. Do a bunch of exercises. He seems pleased, I feel constantly tired. 

Lauren the visiting nurse was next. I think we may be her first case. Seems nice but a little unsure. She has a work phone which is a flip phone. We try and set up a schedule for next week.

Adelina is a big help. Amazing the transition to Rahway seems smooth for the kids. When you are young you adapt so much quicker. Occasionally someone seems concerned about Joe but I think they know what is going on. 

Friday night Lisajoy's friends come over and they attack the Rahway basement. I sit in the corner squirming. I have slight pain but just cannot get comfortable. I do get scattered reports of progress with the estate sale people. 

Saturday is a blurr. 

Sunday mother's day, dressed went to the masoleum. So far so good. Went to MGCC for the brunch. Moving about with the walker. Just too soon for me. I am tired, cranky and ate too much. Thank God the week is done.

Just passed two months of Rae's passing. Think I am amazed at stuff we find. Adelina and Isabelle still have blue moments.

Isabelle maybe heavier than Adelina, just observed that last night when they came out of dance.

May 7 went to community hospital for hip replacement. Going home 5/10.

Everything went well people were all top notch. The only thing that was bad was the food. Which is not that important,. You don't go to the hospital to eat. 

Now the real work rehab PT and selling the house.
